Pam Treads the Boards in "The Normal Heart" after a 7-Year Hiatus

Prior to August 2024, Pam had not performed in a live theatre project since December 2017 when she portrayed Louise Seger in "Always... Patsy Cline" at the Little Theatre of Fall River (LTFR). It was the role of a lifetime for Pam and she now adds another, in close second, with her portrayal of Dr. Emma Brookner in LTFR's gut-wrenching production of "The Normal Heart," which HBO Films produced as a feature film in 2014: "The story of the onset of the HIV-AIDS crisis in New York City in the early 1980s, taking an unflinching look at the nation's sexual politics as gay activists and their allies in the medical community fight to expose the truth about the burgeoning epidemic to a city and nation in denial."

An audience member who is a lifelong educator and fellow thespian himself said, "Pamela Morgan’s portrayal is the finest and most nuanced dramatic performance I’ve seen in 40 years of Firebarn performances. Three cheers!!"

Pam remains grateful for the privilege of having shared with audiences this reminder of a deadly plague and of our government's failure to provide research and resources to combat HIV-AIDS in a timely manner.
